PORTO FEMME 2022: WORKSHOP | Mónica Santos

PT_ O 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐞 - 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐚 vai realizar a sua 5ª edição de 12 a 17 de Setembro, na cidade do Porto, e para além de um vasto programa fílmico, aposta novamente na componente formativa com workshops na área de cinema. 
Nos dias 13,14 e 15 de Setembro, das 10h00 às 13h00, o workshop Criação De Mundos - Direção De Arte é ministrado pela Mónica Santos. Este workshop visa aprofundar o conhecimento da Direção de Arte em todo o processo desde a criação até à execução.
Examinaremos a relação colaborativa entre realização, direção de arte e direção de fotografia. Usando filmes, argumentos, pesquisas e exercícios práticos, os participantes aprofundarão a contribuição deste departamento na construção de um universo cinematográfico. 
Mónica Santos é uma autora multifacetada que conta com dois prémios Sophia, pela Academia Portuguesa de Cinema, e uma nomeação para os Césares, pela Academia Francesa, no seu percurso cinematográfico. Depois de terminar o mestrado na Royal College of Art, enquanto bolseira da Gulbenkian, trabalhou com expoentes do cinema português bem como em diversos géneros: cinema, publicidade, documentário e ficção televisiva. Com uma visão artística singular, cria universos que reinventam o real, conferindo-lhes uma roupagem poética e surreal que inquieta a nossa percepção. A direcção de arte unida ao design têxtil faz de Mónica Santos uma artista com mais-valias singulares.

EN_ 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐞 - 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 will hold its 5th edition from September 12th to 17th, in the city of Porto, and in addition to a vast film program, it is again investing in the training component with workshops in the film area.
On September 13th, 14th, and 15th, from 10:00 to 13:00, the workshop, Worlds Creation - Art Direction, will be held by Mónica Santos. This workshop aims to deepen the knowledge of Art Direction throughout the whole process, from creation to execution.
We will examine the collaborative relationship between directing, art, and photography direction. Using films, screenplays, research, and practical exercises, participants will deepen the contribution of this department in the construction of a cinematographic universe. 
Mónica Santos is a multifaceted author who, in her artistic career, has won two Sophia awards by the Portuguese Academy of Cinema, and a nomination for Césars, by the French Academy. After finishing her master's degree at the Royal College of Art, as a Gulbenkian grantee, she worked with exponents of Portuguese cinema as well as different genres: cinema, advertising, documentary, and television fiction. With a unique artistic vision, she creates universes that reinvent reality, giving it a poetic and surreal guise that disturbs our perception. By combining art direction and textile design, Mónica Santos is an artist with unique assets.
