O Tincal lab celebra o próximo evento de Inaugurações Simultâneas em Miguel Bombarda no dia 17 de Maio, Sábado, com a apresentação de uma exposição que reúne trabalhos de joalharia de Fanni Nagy e Susana Barbosa.
Foram estas as vencedoras do Prémio Selecção do Público (votação online e presencial) do Desafio Tincal lab 2024 Joalharia e Liberdade. Contaremos com a presença da joalheira portuguesa Susana Barbosa, entre as 16h e as 20h.

Fanni Nagy (Hungria)
Fanni Nagy é uma joalheira húngara, cujo percurso artístico começou na Escola de Arte de Buda. Os seus estudos foram aprofundados durante o bacharelado em metalurgia no MOME. Profundamente influenciada pelo tema da transitoriedade após a perda de um amigo próximo, esse conceito tornou-se uma constante fonte de inspiração no seu trabalho. Fanni emprega técnicas tradicionais de ourivesaria e métodos alternativos para criar texturas e formas únicas nas suas joias. O seu objetivo é que suas criações transcendam a esfera do mero adorno, tornando-se histórias únicas que trazem alegria a quem as usa.I’m Here With You / Future’s Nostalgia
Esta exposição apresenta duas séries, cada uma explorando temas de conexão, memória e transformação.
Em "I'm Here With You", borboletas, mariposas e flores tornam-se símbolos dos laços invisíveis que mantemos com aqueles que perdemos. Estas peças convidam-nos a reparar nos sinais subtis à nossa volta - muitas vezes ignorados na correria do dia a dia - que se tornam visíveis apenas quando abrandamos e realmente observamos.
"Future's Nostalgia" reflecte sobre o delicado equilíbrio da constante mudança da vida. Feitos com folhas de eucalipto cristalizadas, as peças representam tanto o crescimento quanto a decadência. À medida que são usados, as suas cores desbotam, os cristais estalam e as formas mudam - reflectindo a transformação que cada um de nós sofre ao longo do tempo. No verso, silhuetas evocam memórias pessoais, incentivando a reflexão sobre a beleza universal da impermanência.
Susana Barbosa (Portugal)
Susana Barbosa é natural do Porto, onde iniciou a sua formação na área da Joalharia com o Curso Profissional de Ourivesaria na Escola Artística de Soares dos Reis - EASR. É licenciada em Design de Joalharia pela ESAD, em Matosinhos, e concluiu uma pós-graduação na Glasgow School of Art. Colaborou em projetos como a Galeria “Quarto Escuro”, no edifício Artes em Partes, e a Galeria “Autoria”, no CCBombarda, ambos no Porto. A sua prática envolve a exploração de técnicas e materiais alternativos, aplicando-os em coleções, projetos autorais e oficinas.Matéria Improvável!
Observar, sentir e explorar o que nos rodeia é o ponto de partida para este trabalho, que nasce da recolha de materiais e objetos - alguns óbvios, outros inesperados.
Vivemos rodeados de objetos descartáveis, e o ato de descartar tornou-se automático.
Mas será esse o verdadeiro destino que estes materiais merecem?
O resultado deste processo são joias que desafiam o olhar e a perceção de valor, fechando circuitos e dando nova vida a materiais em fim de vida.//////
Tincal lab celebrates the next event of Simultaneous Openings in Miguel Bombarda on May 17th, Saturday, with the presentation of the exhibition by Fanni Nagy and Susana Barbosa.
These were the winners of the Selection of the Public Award (voting online and in person) of the Tincal lab Challenge 2024 Jewelry and Freedom. We will count with the presence of the Portuguese jeweler Susana Barbosa - come celebrate the uniqueness of contemporary jewelry with us, from 4pm to 8pm!

Fanni Nagy is a Hungarian jewelry designer whose artistic journey began at the Art School of Buda. She further refined her design skills during her studies in the metalworking bachelor’s program at MOME. Profoundly influenced by the theme of transience following the loss of a close friend, this concept has become a continuous source of inspiration in her work. Fanni employs both traditional goldsmith techniques and alternative methods to craft unique textures and forms in her jewelry. Her goal is for her creations to transcend the realm of mere adornment, becoming unique stories that bring joy to those who wear them.I’m Here With You / Future’s Nostalgia
This exhibition presents two jewelry series, each exploring themes of connection, memory, and transformation.
In “I’m Here With You”, butterflies, moths, and flowers become symbols of the invisible bonds we carry with those we’ve lost. These pieces invite us to notice the subtle signs around us -often overlooked in the rush of daily life - that become visible only when we slow down and truly see.
“Future’s Nostalgia” reflects on the delicate balance of life’s constant change. Crafted from crystallized eucalyptus leaves, the brooches embody both growth and decay. As they’re worn, their colors fade, crystals crack, and forms shift - mirroring the transformation we each undergo over time. On the reverse, silhouettes evoke personal memories, encouraging reflection on the universal beauty of impermanence.Susana Barbosa (Portugal)
Susana Barbosa is from Porto, where she began her training in the field of jewellery with a Professional Course in Goldsmithery at the Artistic School of Soares dos Reis - EASR. She is graduated in Jewellery Design at ESAD in Matosinhos and completed a Postgraduate degree with Glasgow School of Arts. She has collaborated on projects such as the “Quarto Escuro” Gallery in the Artes em Partes building and the “Autoria” Gallery at CCBombarda, both in Porto. Her professional practice involves exploring alternative techniques and materials, applying them in collections, her own projects, and workshops.Unlikely Matter!
Observing, feeling, and exploring what surrounds us is the starting point for this work, which emerges from the collection of materials and objects - some obvious, others unexpected.
We are surrounded by disposable items, and discarding them has become automatic.
But is that truly the destiny these materials deserve?
The result of this process is jewellery that challenges the eye and our perception of value, closing circuits and giving new life to materials at the end of their life cycle.
