Tincal lab Challenge 2023 Jewelry and Travel [Português em baixo]
With the main objective to show the quality and diversity of contemporary jewelry, opening its doors to the general public, Tincal lab invites every year jewelers from around the world for a Challenge: the creation of up to 3 pieces with a maximum price each, inspired by a theme. From this Open Call launched in June results an international event of exhibition and sale of unique characteristics. The opening is at Tincal lab in November, on the date of Simultaneous Openings event in Miguel Bombarda quarter, in Porto, accompanied by the release of a catalog. In each edition, since 2018, has been awarded the Selection of the Jury Award and two Selection of the Public Awards (voting in person and online), consisting of an exhibition at Tincal lab over the following year. In the latest edition, in 2022, we gathered more than 200 exclusive jewelry pieces created by the 79 jewelers from 29 different countries selected by the jury from almost 200 applications.
In 2023, the ninth edition of Tincal lab Challenge launches the theme: Jewelry and Travel. The maximum price of each piece will be of 150€. The opening will be at Tincal lab on November 11th of 2023.

PT Com o principal objectivo de mostrar a qualidade e diversidade da joalharia contemporânea, abrindo as suas portas ao grande público, o Tincal lab convida todos os anos joalheiros de todo o mundo para um Desafio: a criação de até 3 peças com um preço máximo cada, inspiradas por um tema. Deste Open Call lançado em Junho resulta um evento internacional de exposição e venda de características únicas. A inauguração decorre no Tincal lab em Novembro, na data do evento de Inaugurações Simultâneas em Miguel Bombarda, no Porto, acompanhada do lançamento de um catálogo. Em cada edição é, desde 2018, atribuído o Prémio Selecção do Júri e dois Prémios Selecção do Público (votação presencial e online), que consistem numa exposição a decorrer no Tincal lab durante o ano seguinte. Na última edição, em 2022, reunimos mais de 200 peças de joalharia exclusivas criadas por 79 joalheiros de 29 países diferentes, seleccionados pelo júri entre as quase 200 candidaturas recebidas.
Em 2023, a nona edição do Desafio Tincal lab propõe o tema: Joalharia e Viagem. O preço máximo a atribuir a cada peça será de 150€. A exposição inaugura no Tincal lab a 11 de Novembro de 2023.
