Presença regular em instituições como o Berghain ou Tresor, e parceiro de Milton Bradley no projecto musical e editorial K209, Henning Baer é o vulto por detrás dos famigerados eventos Grounded Theory Berlin, celebrações hedonistas que juntam a nata do techno mundial e abalam a cidade a cada nova edição. Neles se encontra reflectido o seu pensamento, de que a força e o futuro do techno reside na diversidade; visão completamente partilhada deste lado. No estúdio, como um arqueólogo, desbrava cada canto da sua jurisdição, em busca daquele ritmo, energia ou atmosfera, que mais tarde na pista de dança nos preencherá por inteiro como se nunca tivéssemos passado por tal turbilhão sonoro. A história de Alessio Armeni, mais conhecido como Freddy K, confunde-se com a memória colectiva da cena techno italiana, e não é o facto de se ter mudado de Roma para Berlim que apaga esse lastro. Do programa radiofónico Virus, que se transformou numa série de eventos, agência de booking e loja de discos; à formação da Eletronnica Romana, onde encontramos os primeiros registos de nomes como Donato Dozzy ou Giorgio Gigli; ao trabalho na M_Rec ao lado de Max_M, nas edições na lendária ACV quando predominavam as influências do Chicago Acid e rock; de tudo isto e mais se faz a história do romano. In the studio, his process is meticulous to the point of being archaeological, constantly on the hunt for that particular rhythm, energy or atmosphere, that will eventually fill a room to capacity and make us feel the embrace of his perfect musical storm. The story of Alessio Armeni, more frequently referred to as Freddy K K, is firmly entrenched in the collective memory of the Italian techno scene and the fact that he has traded his hometown of Rome for Berlin does little to erase that connection. His radio show Virus quickly morphed into a series of events, a booking agency and record store; The founding of Eletronnica Romana, where we can find the first releases by names such as Donato Dozzy of Giorgio Gigli; From his work at M_Rec alongside founder Max_M, to the music he made on ACV when the influence of Chicago Acid and Rock was inescapable; These are the origins of this Roman maverick.
