Landscapes 1st Anniversary - Jeff Mills, Amulador, Yassine

Ao longo deste último ano, entre estreias e alguns nomes distintos na paisagem electrónica, a Landscapes tem-nos oferecido oportunidades ímpares para desfrutarmos do que de melhor a  música de dança nos pode  brindar. Aproveitamos a celebração deste 1º aniversário para juntar um outro: os 25 anos da Axis Records, convidando o seu mentor e mais ilustre representante da cena techno de Detroit. De Jeff Mills já tudo foi dito mas dá gosto relembrar. Iniciou a  carreira em 1984 como DJ da WDRQ radio,  foi fundador do colectivo Underground Resistance com Mad Mike Banks, criou em 92 a Axis, e desde então, munido da TR-909, tem percorrido mundo com uma média de 100 actuações anuais.  As suas colaborações no seio da arte contemporânea, onde constantemente quebra fronteiras entre géneros e desafia convenções, fazem com que há muito tenha ultrapassado as delimitações do techno, sendo visto como um artista global e pluridisciplinar. Over the past year, between newcomers and some of the more distinguished names in the current electronic music world, Landscapes has given us a host of opportunities to enjoy some of the best talent the underground scene has to offer. On the occasion of this first anniversary we have decided to join forces with Axis Records who are also celebrating their 25th year by inviting founding father and Detroit's favourite son, Jeff Mills. There is very little that has not been said about "The Wizard" but it is always good to recap. He started his career in 1984 as a DJ on WDRQ radio, he founded the collective known as Underground Resistance with Mad Mike Banks and in 92 he launched Axis Records. Since that time he has travelled the world with his TR-909 in tow, performing over 100 shows a year. His frequent collaborations within the contemporary art world, where he constantly redefines the borders between genres, defying conventions at every turn, have ensured that he has long surpassed the limitations of techno, gaining a reputation as a modern day renaissance man of boundless talents.
