Vida Privada, de Johanna Schaible

For Vida Privada, the artist Johanna Schaible will spend two days each with three tenants whose homes are protected by grills, documenting the worlds and stories of their everyday lives. While her presence may seem intrusive, her choice to illustrate these scenes transforms each space, preserving its intimacy in a way that photos would not. 

This series of illustrations, which will be arranged into a unique book, will briefly be presented at Despacio before being gifted to the residents it portrays.

Para Vida Privada, la artista Johanna Schaible pasará dos días con cada uno de los tres inquilinos cuyas casas están protegidas por parrillas, documentando los mundos y las historias de sus vidas cotidianas. Si bien su presencia puede parecer intrusiva, su elección de ilustrar estas escenas transforma cada espacio, preservando su intimidad de una manera que las fotos no lo harían. 

Esta serie de ilustraciones, que se organizarán en un libro único, se presentará brevemente en Despacio antes de ser regalado a los residentes que retrata.
