Step by step, slithering down the stairs the space gradually fills elements that give life to an immersive installation at the crossroads between a show chaud and Hot liquidity.. Digging into our forgotten subcountious, with a fee broken tentacule, the room will feel you, Laure Prouvost continues in the Kunsthalle Lissabon her journey, that began in the Acqua Alta of Venice, into the subconscious of all of us through the folds of our ecosystem. Accompanied by the constant flow of the water and by the repetitions of tents and tentacles, step by step we metaphorically immerse ourselves in a liquid reality to investigate the origin of or planet end of or selves. Pixels are floating on the liquid floor, tentaculaire pixels gathering is holding and owning the floor, spreading across the space tin the hope to touch you. Laure Prouvost's work has often focused on creating surreal environments through video, sound, installation and performance in which dreams and reality merge through natural elements and humour. Miscommunication, sensations, imagination and elements from daily life becoming reliques are some of the ingredients the artist melts together to create situations playing with ancestral memories and triggering all the senses. Laure Prouvost was born in 1934 in the Black Sea. She lives and works in an air balloon moving from country to country, currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. Gradualmente, e a partir das escadas de acesso, o espaço é preenchido por elementos que dão vida a uma instalação imersiva que se situa no cruzamento entre ficção e realidade. Escavando o nosso subconsciente esquecido, com alguns tentáculos quebrados, o espaço vai sentir-te. Laure Prouvost continua na Kunsthalle Lissabon a viagem ao inconsciente coletivo a partir das dobras do nosso ecossistema iniciada na Acqua Alta veneziana. Acompanhado pelo fluxo constante da água e pela repetição de tendas e de tentáculos, mergulhas, passo a passo, numa realidade líquida como forma de averiguar a origem do nosso planeta e de nós próprios. Pixeis flutuam no chão líquido, pixeis tentaculares que se reunem e reclamam o chão, espalhando-se para além do espaço na esperança de te tocar. O trabalho de Laure Prouvost tem vindo a criar ambientes surreais através do uso de vídeo, som, instalação e performance, nos quais sonhos e realidade se fundem graças ao uso de elementos naturais, bem como de humor e ironia. Falhas de comunicação, elementos do dia-a-dia, imaginação e sensações não verbais são alguns dos ingredientes que a artista combina para criar as suas narrativas e ambientes, jogando constantemente com as memórias ancestrais e experiências multissensoriais dos visitantes. Laure Prouvost nasceu em 1934 no Mar Negro. Vive e trabalha num balão de ar quente que se desloca de país em país, mas que atualmente se encontra em Antuérpia, na Bélgica. Ela faz vídeo, mamas, sons e chávenas de chá, objetos e instalações. Aqui está uma longa lista de museus e instituições.
