(SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH VERSION) O Pivô apresenta a segunda versão da exposição coletiva Rocambole, desta vez na instituição portuguesa Kunsthalle Lissabon dirigida pelos curadores João Mourão e Luís Silva. A primeira versão da mostra dos artistas Flora Rebollo, Thiago Barbalho e Yuli Yamagata ocorreu no Pivô entre junho e julho de 2018, como um desdobramento de suas experiências no programa de residências Pivô Pesquisa. Agora, em Lisboa, os artistas levam adiante o processo compartilhado de construção da exposição, realizando novamente parte dos trabalhos em um ateliê coletivo no Pivô, para, então, finalizar as obras no espaço expositivo em Portugal. O projeto é parte de um programa que comemora os 10 anos da Kunsthalle Lissabon, no qual instituições parceiras assumem toda a programação do espaço – das exposições às redes sociais – e o Pivô é a primeira instituição convidada para participar. A KL parte do desejo simultâneo de habitar e problematizar as condições institucionais, como uma alternativa aos modelos tradicionais, lidando com as ideias de proximidade ideológica, de uma ética e estética “Do-It-Yourself” e de uma prática de estreita colaboração com os artistas como parâmetros para o desenho de sua programação, que se inicia de forma aberta e flexível, para ser definida, repensada e criticada ao longo de cada ciclo anual. A primeira versão de Rocambole foi elaborada a partir do processos de trocas e diálogos estabelecidos entre os artistas durante sua residência no Pivô Pesquisa em 2017 e continuada em um ateliê compartilhado em 2018. A nova versão, em Portugal, conta com trabalhos inéditos, que são simultaneamente uma revisão da experiência anterior e um avanço na produção individual de cada um, refletindo os processos de contaminação e influências mútuas. Flora Rebollo, Thiago Barbalho, and Yuli Yamagata’s show was firstly held at Pivô between June and July 2018, as an unfolding of their experience at the residency programme Pivô Research. In Lisbon, the artists will continue the collective process started in the shared studio at Pivô – where the developed part of the works- giving the final touches and producing new works on site. The project is part of a programme that celebrates Kunsthalle Lissabon’s 10th anniversary. Pivô is the first guest of partner institutions that will take over the programme of the Portuguese space – from exhibitions to social media. KL departures from the desire to simultaneously inhabit and question from the inside the institutional conditions, working with the ideas of an ideological proximity, a “do-it-yourself” ethics and aesthetics and a practice of close collaboration with the artists as the main cores of its programme, which starts as an open and flexible concept that is gradually articulated, questioned and put in perspective, as the development of each cycle moves forward throughout the year. The first version of Roly-Poly was the result of exchanges and dialogues established by the artists during their experience in the residency programme Pivô Research in 2017, which continued in a shared studio in 2018 in order to produce the show. The new version, in Portugal, will combine original works that are a critical evaluation of the previous experience at Pivô, reflecting the mutual contamination and influences they shared as well as their singularities.
