O festival é “Múltiplo” no sentido de variado e diferente, mas também por ser uma unidade que contém várias outras: o evento acontece em sinergia com uma série de parceiros e envolve de uma forma sustentável e interdisciplinar uma selecção de sujeitos e entidades dos mais interessantes no panorama artístico local e internacional Este evento pretende opor-se a típica migração das massas para os grandes festivais de verão um pequeno festival feito por agentes locais, que nos permita habitar o centro histórico da cidade e manter vivos projectos independentes de alto valor artístico. O Festival Múltiplo acredita na existência de todo um outro mundo artístico e um mundo cada vez mais vibrante, onde diversas espécies se multiplicam a um ritmo rápido, fora das lógicas comerciais, dos clubes exclusivos, das galerias de arte e das instituições culturais convencionais. The festival is "Multiple" in the sense of varied and different, but also because it is a unit that contains several others: the event brings together a growing artistic community, where the identity of the collective is defined and expanded more and more, precisely thanks to of the unique contributions of each individual. This event intends to oppose the typical migration of the masses to the big summer festivals, a small festival made by local agents, allowing us to inhabit the city center and to keep independent projects of high artistic value alive. The festival believes in the existence of a whole different world of art and an increasingly vibrant one, where a number of new species multiply at a rapid pace outside commercial logics, exclusive clubs, art galleries, and the conventional museums. True to the spirit of the previous four editions, the festival is characterized by a strong component of creative DIY production, with publications and graphic editions, and has an intense program of concerts, sound interventions,performances, presentations and talks, including the participation of dozens of national and international artists.
