Sisterhood Song Circle in Celebration of International Women's Day

Come and be a part of the celebration of a new cycle and circle.

This is a circle for women who share the bond of motherhood – for ladies with the wish to become a mother, for pregnant ladies and for mothers. We celebrate our variety and the beauty that comes with this connection, through presence and song.

As a mother of a 2year old, I have been feeling a need to connect with women who are going though similar experiences, on a mental, physical, spiritual and emotional level.

Therefore I will be hosting sisterhood song circles, where women can meet regularly to share and breathe and dance and sing. To listen to each other and be together as a vocal community of feminine voices. To move in a space where we share and witness each other’s processes. To have a voice and be heard.

The first meeting will be on the 8th of march, on international women’s day, at the beautiful space 30daMouraria. 

The session will be in English but I can translate to Portuguese when needed and encourage everyone to speak in their mother language.

Sisterhood Song Circle - Celebração do Dia da Mulher

Vem fazer parte da celebração de um novo círculo. 

Este é um círculo para mulheres que têm em comum a maternidade –  para as mulheres que desejam engravidar, para as grávidas e para as mães. Celebramos a diversidade e a beleza que resultam desta conexão, através da nosso presença e do canto. 

Como mãe de uma filha de 2 anos, sinto a necessidade de conectar-me com outras mães com experiências similares, num nível mental, físico, espiritual e emocional. 

Por isso fico feliz de poder oferecer estes círculos de irmandade vocal, onde as mulheres se podem encontrar de forma regular, para partilhar e respirar e cantar em conjunto.  Para nos ouvirmos e criarmos juntas uma comunidade vocal de vozes femininas. Para mover num espaço onde nos partilhamos e somos testemunhas do processo de cada uma de nós. Encontrar a nossa voz e ser ouvida. 

O primeiro encontro será no dia 8 de Março, no Dia Internacional da Mulher, no espaço lindo do 30 da Mouraria. 

A sessão será em inglês, com a possibilidade de  tradução sempre que for necessário. Durante a sessão cada uma será encorajada a usar a sua língua materna.
