De 20 de setembro a 8 de novembro, a Solar – Galeria de Arte Cinemática recebe a cineasta Carolina Garfo e a sua obra "Raverina" no espaço CAVE. Nesta instalação de vídeo, são apresentadas tradições fictícias da aldeia algarvia de Alsobio. A narrativa acompanha uma artesã convidada a restaurar brinquedos sonoros em cana, descobrindo a lenda da Tia Raverina e a prática local das danças da chuva. Entre humor e memória, a obra evoca a resiliência comunitária e a criatividade como motores de renovação.
Paralelamente, a artista irá participar numa residência artística, organizada pela Solar, na cidade de Vila do Conde .
[𝗘𝗡] From September 20th to November 8th, the Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery will showcase Carolina Garfo's work, Raverina, in the CAVE space. This video installation introduces audiences to fictional traditions from the Algarve village of Alsobio. The narrative follows a craftswoman invited to restore cane-made sound toys, during which she uncovers the legend of Aunt Raverina and the local practice of rain dances. Balancing humour and memory, the work evokes community resilience and creativity as vital forces of renewal.
The artist will also participate in an artistic residency organized by Solar in the city of Vila do Conde.
