[EN] this event will be hosted in English. We speak Portuguese and can translate if necessary.

Lifescapes is a five-day immersion into the theme of Activism. We are calling it a ‘Creative Lab’ because of its experimental format: every participant is also a host, and will run a session in the schedule based on the theme.

> It will feel like a collaborative festival, a retreat, and a creative residency.

ABOUT THE THEME: "The Art of Activism"

In these uncomfortable and contradictory times, many of us feel called to some kind of Activism. But what does it mean to be Active? Here, we’re presented with an opportunity to decide how we position ourselves in the world, to explore new approaches to change in a multi-disciplinary context.

During this first episode of Lifescapes, we want to collectively explore, unpack and play with the concept of Activism and our relationship with it. To think and move outside the box and take Activism to its edges, inspiring new perspectives, connections, and ways of being ‘Active’ within our lives, practices, local communities and beyond.

ABOUT THE FORMAT

We will host 10-15 individuals from varied disciplines and contexts - education, architecture, poetry, permaculture, journalism, photography, bodywork and more - each hosting a session in response to the theme.

This could be:
- A workshop
- A presentation or lecture
- An artistic activity
- Directed group or solo work
- Something else
