O FESTINET - Festival de Curtas Metragens nasceu oficialmente em 2019, mas entre os seus parceiros existem vários que trabalham no campo internacional há mais de uma década! Queremos mostrar ao mundo que os pequenos festivais sem tapetes vermelhos são capazes de funcionar a um elevado nível profissional e artístico. O objectivo da cooperação é promover a introdução dos festivais nos eventos uns dos outros e representar a comunidade de uma forma unificada em qualquer lugar do mundo. Deste modo, os parceiros podem enviar um candidato a curta-metragem, que irá então representar o festival e o país no próximo ano por todos os outros festivais! Todos os anos, um dos festivais da rede assume a liderança para coordenar a parceria, a fim de dinamizar as atividades.
A ideia é criar uma rede que partilhe e divulgue filmes, realizadores e curadorias, com o objectivo de criar um programa comum e diversificado em termos de origens, géneros e linguagem cinematográfica. O principal objetivo é promover realizadores, filmes e investir na formação de novas audiências.

The FESTINET Short Film Festival Network was officially born in 2019, but among the partners there are several, who have been working on the international field for more than a decade! We want to show the world that small festivals without red carpets are able to operate at a high professional and artistic level. The purpose of the cooperation is to promote the introduction of the festivals at each other's events and to represent the community in a unified way anywhere else. The Partners can send a short film candidate, which will then represent the festival and the country next year by all other festivals! Each year, one of the festivals in the network takes the lead to coordinate the partnership in order to energize the activities.
The idea is to create a network that shares and disseminates films, directors and curatorships, with the purpose of creating a common and diverse program in terms of origins, genres and cinematic language. The main objective is to promote directors, films and invest in the formation of new audiences.
