Yoga for Anxiety and Stress Relief

Many adults suffer from anxiety, making it the most common mental illness in the country.Practicing yoga can not only be an effective stress reliever, but also a way to ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. By transferring focus and attention to the body and breath, yoga can help to temper anxiety while also releasing physical tension.

I just got another Diploma of Relaxation Techniques and I want to share what I learned with you! So, I am going t do a special class working on Pranayama, Asanas and Meditation to Reduce Stress And Support Mental Health.

Specifically in this session we are going to work on our first chakra or Root Chakra


Location: the perineum, the space between the anus and the sexual organs.

Red color.

Parts of the body: lymphatic system, bone system (teeth and bones), prostate gland in men, sacral plexus, bladder, evacuation system and lower extremities (legs, feet, ankles, etc.).

Through this chakra the will to live is expressed. It is directly related to the earth and that is where we extract the strength to fight for life and to relate sexually.
