The importance of technology in the relationship between utilities and consumers.
Short bio:
João has a degree in economics and started his career in strategic consultancy where did projects in different areas and locations.
In 2011, started is career at EDP as product manager for solar energy and later extended the scope to electric mobility, batteries, and smart home systems.
He is enthusiastic about product innovation and organic growth strategies.

I will show how microservices design and emerging technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes can be used to build a highly efficient and scalable IoT system, based on my work on Qold an IoT cold chain monitoring system built at Whitesmith.
Short bio:
Pedro Costa is a software engineer, working at Whitesmith in Coimbra. He holds a masters degree in Informatics Engineering from Univesity of Coimbra and mainly works in DevOps in a containerized environment, building and maintaining systems at scale.
