A mostra é formada por obras da nova série produzida pelo artista. Constituído por dez pinturas, este corpo de trabalho é agora revelado em simultâneo em dois espaços: o Sismógrafo, no Porto, e Ermida, em Lisboa, neste caso numa exposição que abriu ao público a 7 de Novembro. Como o título deixa adivinhar, o "nu" é tema que atravessa ambos os espaços, sendo que todos os quadros - óleos sobre impressões a jacto de tinta - têm a mesma dimensão (30 x 25 cm). Tratam-se de imagens do corpo trabalhadas com pintura como se a tinta pudesse ser uma pele que esconde para poder mostrar. Luís Paulo Costa (Abrantes, 1968) vive e trabalha em Lisboa. Participou em diversas exposições individuais e colectivas, nomeadamente no Museu Serralves, (Porto, 2012, 2013), no Pavilhão Branco, (Lisboa, 2014), Espaço Campanhã, (Porto, 2012), entre outras. O assunto do seu trabalho é a pintura. É representado pela galeria Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art, em Lisboa e pela Pedro Oliveira, no Porto. ___ “Naked Girls”, by Luis Paulo Costa, opens at Sismógrafo on friday, November 13. The exhibitions consists of works from the new series produced by the artist. Made of ten paintings, this body of work is now revealed, simultaneously in two spaces: Sismógrafo, in Porto, and Ermida, in Lisbon, in this case an exhibition that opened to the public on November 7. As the title lets guess, the “nude” is the theme that traverses both spaces, and all the paintings – oils on inkjet prints – have the same size (30 x 25 cm). These are images of the body worked with painting as if the paint could be a skin that hides to be able to display. Luis Paulo Costa (Abrantes, 1968) lives and works in Lisbon. He participated in several solo and collective exhibitions, namely at the Serralves Museum (Porto, 2012, 2013), Pavilhão Branco (Lisbon, 2014), Espaço Campanhã (Porto, 2012), among others. The subject of his work is painting. He is represented by the galleries Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art, in Lisbon and Pedro Oliveira, in Porto.
