Tens roupa, sapatos, acessórios ou livros em bom estado que usaste uma vez e nunca mais vestiste, que deixou de servir, mas está novo, ou leste e já não o vais voltar a ler? Tens agora a oportunidade de trocar essas peças por algo que realmente faça sentido para ti.
O objetivo do Mercado de Trocas passa por incentivar a um consumo responsável, aproveitando peças/acessórios/livros que estão em perfeitas condições, prolongando assim o tempo de vida dos produtos e evitando a produção e aquisição de novos.
A indústria da moda é a segunda mais poluente do mundo. A roupa barata e de fraca qualidade dura menos logo, tens de comprar mais.
As peças, maioritariamente feitas de microfibras, acabam por poluir toda a nossa cadeia alimentar e os químicos utilizados são absorvidos pela nossa pele. Os seus trabalhadores não têm acesso a condições de trabalho dignas e muitas vezes as crianças são utilizadas como mão de obra.COMO FUNCIONA O MERCADO DE TROCAS?
https://www.mercadodetrocas.com/como-funciona/1. Traz no máximo 10 peças de roupa, sapatos, livros ou acessórios que se encontram em boas condições e já não utilizas.
2. Não queremos fomentar o consumo daí termos um número máximo. Reforçamos, as peças deverão estar em bom estado, limpas e em condições de serem usadas. Iremos ter uma equipa de voluntários que irão analisar cada peça.
3. Não aceitamos livros que saíram em revistas e jornais, livros técnicos, coleções antigas, livros escritos, rasgados ou dobrados.
4. Depois de entregares as tuas peças no Check In, ser-te-á atribuída uma senha de troca.
5. No final entregas a tua senha de troca e as peças são contabilizadas por um dos voluntários. Caso não encontres o mesmo número de itens ser-te-á atribuída uma senha que podes utilizar no próximo mercado da tua localidade ou em qualquer um dos mercados de trocas que organizamos.
6. No caso de termos excedentes garantimos que NADA será jogado para o lixo. Ficarão guardadas para um próximo mercado de trocas ou entregues ao Hospital de Faro.
7. Este evento é sem fins lucrativos, porém pedimos no mínimo 1€ de contribuição para bens materiais, logística e organização.

The main goal of the Swap Market is to encourage sustainable consumption, by extending the life of products and avoiding the production and acquisition of new ones.
The fashion industry is the second most polluting in the world. Cheap and low-quality clothing lasts less so you have to buy more. The pieces, mostly made of microfibers, end up polluting our entire food chain and the chemicals used are also absorbed by our skin. Its workers do not have access to decent working conditions and children are often used as labour.
HOW DOES THE SWAP MARKET WORK?
1. Bring a maximum of 10 pieces of clothing, shoes, accessories or books that are in good conditions and you no longer use.2. We don't want to encourage consumption, and this is why we have a maximum number of items. Once again, the clothing items and books must be in good condition, clean and ready to be used. We will have a team of volunteers who will analyse each item.
3. We do not accept books that were offered in magazines or newspapers, technical books, old collections, written books, torn or folded.
4. After delivering your items at the Check In, you will be given a ticket with the number of items you can swap.
5. At the end, hand over your ticket and the items will be verifyed by one of the volunteers. If you do not find the same number of items, you will be given a ticket that you can use in the next local swap market or in another other to be carried out by Mercado de Trocas association.
6. In case we do find that we have still items in our market that haven’t been swapped we guaranteeyou that NOTHING will end up in landfill. They will be kept for the next exchange market or handed to Faro's hospital.
7. This is a non-profit event but we ask minimum 1€ contribution to help us with all the logistics involved.
