[PT] DIOGO CARLOS iniciou os seus estudos musicais no Conservatório de Música de Barcelos em 2009, tendo-os terminado em 2017, na classe do Professor Francisco Gomes. Nesse mesmo ano foi admitido na Royal Academy of Music, Universidade de Londres, com bolsa de mérito. Apresenta-se regularmente em público, nomeadamente em Recitais de Guitarra e concertos de música e de música de câmara, tendo realizado recitais em salas importantes, tais como: Cadogan Hall, performance a solo, em Duo com Patricia Rozario e também com big ensemble; Performance a solo do 2o movimento do Concerto de Aranjuez na Casa da Música no Porto; Música no Salão em Barcelos "Salão Nobre da Câmara Municipal de Barcelos". Integra o Internava Project tendo gravado nos famosos Abbey Road Studios, em Londres.

[EN] DIOGO CARLOS is a Portuguese guitarist born in 1999. He started his musical studies at the age of 9 in his hometown in Portugal. Then, when he was 16, he decided to proceed his musical studies professionally and entered the guitar class of Francisco Gomes. Who encouraged him to participate in competitions, where he got several prizes, and also to audition for a musical college in London. At the age of 18, Diogo went to London where he applied to the Royal Academy of Music, getting an "entrance scholarship", where he is studying with Michael Lewin. Since Diogo went to London, he has played solo, in duos, trios, quartets with various ensembles performing regularly. With one of his duos, with the accordionist Flávio Rodrigues, he performed in the London Guitar Festival. And also, with Keila Wakao (winner of the Menuhin Competition) at the Cadogan Hall. By the end of his first year, he applied to a competition at the Royal Academy of Music playing the guitar concerto "Concierto de Aranjuez". Afterwards, he was invited to join the "Internava project", which organized a concert at the Cadogan Hall where he played as a soloist, in duo with the singer Patricia Rozario OBE, and with a big ensemble that ended up recording the piece played in the concert at "Abbey Road Studios". In the summer of 2020, Diogo was invited to play for Julian Bream and John Williams who awarded him the "Julian Bream Trust Scholarship". Which afterwards gave him the opportunity for his concert debut at the Wigmore Hall in November of 2021. Where was also premiered the piece "Sea Voyage" by Roxanna Panufnik, written for the occasion.

FURIA - DEIANA DUO

[PT] Uma formação versátil e fascinante que combina o som apaixonado do bandoneon de Fabio Furia com o virtuosismo da guitarra de Alessandro Deiana. Em "A los maestros", título do CD homónimo assinado pelos dois músicos, todas as canções se centram no estilo e nos arranjos de dois "Duos" históricos: Osvaldo Montes e Anibal Arias e Julio Pane com Juanjo Dominguez. É um repertório profundamente romântico, nostálgico, requintado e envolvente que é reinterpretado e combinado com o gosto musical pessoal dos dois artistas. Um percurso que marca a evolução deste querido género musical, partindo do tradicional até à vanguarda e à sua mais alta nobreza. Muitas das peças aqui apresentadas, partindo de uma forte conotação popular, ultrapassaram as fronteiras do tango, aterrando nas mais prestigiadas salas de concerto na atuação dos mais importantes intérpretes de música clássica, ópera e jazz.

[EN] A versatile and fascinating formation that combines the passionatesound of Fabio Furia's bandoneon with the virtuosity of AlessandroDeiana's guitar. In "A los maestros", the title of the CD of the same name signed by thetwo musicians, all the songs focus on the style and arrangements oftwo historical "Duos": Osvaldo Montes and Anibal Arias and Julio Panewith Juanjo Dominguez. It is a deeply romantic, nostalgic, refined andengaging repertoire that is reinterpreted and combined with thepersonal musical taste of the two artists. A path that marks theevolution of this beloved musical genre, starting from the traditionalone, up to the avant-garde and its highest nobility. Many of the pieces presented here, starting from a strong popularconnotation, have crossed the boundaries of tango, landing in themost prestigious concert halls in the performance of the mostimportant interpreters of classical, opera and jazz music.
