O GAJO (1ª parte) [PT] Depois de 28 anos no circuito Punk Rock, João Morais escolhe em 2016 a Viola Campaniça para expressar a sua arte. Este instrumento de raiz tradicional Portuguesa é assim a figura central de um projecto instrumental com referências arábicas e mediterrânicas numa nova linguagem para uma viola antiga, que na sua melhor tradição renasce pelas mãos d’O GAJO. [EN] João Morais started to play guitar when he was 15 years old and had several bands within the Punk Rock circuit. In the Spring of 2016, João started a solo project called O GAJO (“The DUDE”), inspired by his World Music references. João immersed himself in the roots of Portuguese music and discovered Viola Campaniça, combining this traditional instrument, an integral part of traditional Portuguese popular music, with his Punk Rock experience. The result is unique and surprising __________________________ MARIACHI SOL DE LISBOA (2ª parte) [PT] A música do México é muito diversificada, uma vez que foi influenciada por uma variedade de culturas indígenas, europeias e até africanas, mas nenhum género músical é tão conhecido como os grupos Mariachi, reconhecidos pela Unesco como património imaterial da humanidade. Com origem no estado de Jalisco, o mariachi prima pela galhardia no traje de charro (cavaleiro típico daquele estado) e na música que intrepreta. A actuação do Mariachi Sol de Lisboa reflecte a emoção e a alegria dos vários géneros musicais daquele país, de que são exemplo a música ranchera, o son jarocho, os huapangos, os corridos, as polcas, a valsa mexicana, o bolero ranchero e, actualmente, a cumbia! Durante a actuação executam-se vários instrumentos tradicionais como a vihuela mexicana e o guitarrón, além dos trompetes e violinos, que acompanham as vozes, o principal instrumento mariachi. [EN] Mexican music is very diverse, as it has been influenced by a variety of indigenous, European and even African cultures. However, no musical genre is as well known as the Mariachi groups, recognized by UNESCO as intangible heritage of humanity. Originating in the state of Jalisco, the mariachi excels for gallantry in the charro costume (a typical rider from that state) and in the music he performs. The performance of Mariachi Sol de Lisboa reflects the emotion and joy of the various musical genres of that country, such as ranchera music, son jarocho, huapangos, corridos, polcas, Mexican waltz, bolero ranchero and, currently, the cumbia! During the performance, several traditional instruments are performed, such as the Mexican vihuela and the guitarrón, in addition to the trumpets and violins, which accompany the voices, the main mariachi instrument.
