Romain Valentino è um músico baseado na cidade do Porto. Nascido numa família italo-francesa e tendo crescido em Milão, começa a tocar guitarra clássica com 6 anos de idade. A partir de 2015, dedica-se a explorar a figura do guitarrista-cantor, absorvendo e reinterpretando ao vivo um repertório enraizado nas tradições mediterrânea e sul-americana, e aprendendo mais, ao longo do caminho, sobre a ligação entre algumas vanguardas cantautorais do século XX e o terreno musical popular, de onde receberam uma parte fundamental da sua vitalidade. Nos anos seguintes, começa a colaborar como multi-instrumentista nos projetos autorais de Carol Mello e de Aníbal Zola, e grava como cantor e guitarrista um álbum de autoria coletiva com a banda Koinè. É no seguimento natural deste percurso que Romain se encontra hoje nas fases iniciais da produção de um álbum de canções próprias. Neste concerto, vai apresentar a primeira e imprevisível colheita da planta que nessas raízes cresceu, no aconchego da Casa da Horta. ATENÇÃO! Born to a franco-italian family and raised in Milan, he takes up classical guitar at the age of six. Since 2015, he has been exploring the singer-guitarist character, drawing in and reinterpreting a live repertoire rooted in mediterranean and south american traditions, and learning more, along the way, about the connections between the 20th century singing-songwriting vanguards and the traditional music background, from which they received an essential part of their vitality. In the following years, he starts collaborating as a multi-instrumentalist in the authorial projects of Carol Mello and Aníbal Zola, and he records an album of collective authorship with the Koiné band as singer and guitarist. It is in the natural course of this path that Romain finds himself today in the early stages of production of an album of his own compositions. In this gig, he will present us, in the coziness of Casa da Horta, the first and unpredictable harvest of the plant which has sprouted from those roots.
