Coffee that Makesense - On Racism with LinkingUs

In the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, we Makesense Lisbon Hotspot realized as a team of mostly international members that we were unaware of the state of racism in Portugal. While we wanted to create space for this conversation, we were not the most experienced people to speak on this. For this, we are grateful for the support of LinkingUs and their community in joining us on this mission to learn, better understand the experiences of Black professionals, and learn how to be better and stronger allies.

We will be co-hosting this Coffee that Makesense with LinkingUs and speaking about experiences regarding systemic racism.

In this edition of Coffee that Makesense, we will be co-hosting with a community organization and one of our partners, LinkingUs. They are an organization that aims to create positive social impact by advocating for diversity, inclusion and professional growth of the African diaspora in Lisbon. Our topic is a relevant one this week as we hear from the LinkingUs community on their experiences as Black professionals living in Lisbon.

This is an informal exchange. We want to share opinions and connect to each other in a safe space. If you feel like sharing your experiences, sharing ideas, or just listening with empathy while enjoying your coffee, this is the place for you!

Founder of LinkingUs along with one of our Core-Team Contributors will co-facilitate and moderate the discussion.

Get your cup of coffee and join us for a chat on Tuesday, at 6:30 pm. To connect, click on this link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4268995496.
Looking forward to seeing you!
