“Everything starts with being in a room all alone and getting bored. Lots of words form a dark cloud and some of those words twinkle down. Killing thoughts, unreciprocated feelings, stupid sensations, imaginary friends, sad songs, broken hearts and bones and bitten flesh.”
Mert Tugen was born in Gaziantep, Turkey, 1992. Studied at Anatolian University Faculty of fine arts on Animation Departmant. As a freelance illustrator mostly illustrated children books and have been drawing illustrations to various publishing houses, agencies and magazines.
His personal work is focused on illustration and animation works, gifs, murals and from time to time participating in domestic and foreign exhibitions. Lately he’s been working on getting together the comics he had written and drew to publish into a book.
