We will spend an afternoon in the seedhouse studio listening to music and learning how to do your own lino-cut prints. The host Marija Reikalas will introduce you to the history, tools and basics of this beautiful printmaking technique and will guide you through the process. You will need to bring your imagination and willingness to learn - all the materials and tools will be provided.
The host Marija is a graphic artist and printmaker, working in illustration and graphic design areas. She produce her work in lino-cut and silk-screen printing techniques. She studied and practiced printmaking for more than 10 years now, including writing her Master Thesis on Analogue Printing Techniques and their recent revival in contemporary culture.
