Journey into True Manhood, The Warrior, with Guilherme De Luz

Since the beginning of time, Men have always been Warriors. Courage, decisiveness, strength and fitness, the ability to keep a cool head under pressure.. The qualities that define a good Warrior are just as fundamental to the character of a healthy man today as they were in the lives of our ancestors. In this 4th session of the Journey into True Manhood Course we will be practicing the art of Kung Fu with Master Guilherme de Luz. In his words,

'As a man, the neccessity to defend yourself and those around you, as well as to obtain that which you desire, must evolve through various stages and life experiences for us to achieve our maximum possible expression of success and happiness. Turning ourselves from the solitary tormented Warrior to the resurrected Cosmic Warrior becomes a victory not just for us, but for all humanity.'

The intention of this course is to create a space in which we can redefine our concepts of masculinity and of ourselves as men, replacing the toxic outdated stories that dominate our culture with something we can believe in and be inspired by. We are using the Jungian map of the male psyche, which finds expression through the four archetypes of the Magician, the Warrior, the King and the Lover, with two sessions of the course dedicated to each one. These sessions can be attended individually - it is not neccessary to sign up for the whole course, though for a complete experience it is best to attend at least one session for each archetype.

Through doing this work together, we are also creating a Brotherhood of celebration and mutual support in our community. We discover that the challenges we face are all the same, and that our brothers are our allies and not our competitors in the daily struggle to achieve health, wealth and fullilment in our lives.

This is a beautiful journey, and one whose time has come. The world is asking for us to take responsibility for ourselves as Men, just as much as we are feeling the need to do this for our own wellbeing. We will be very happy for you to join us, and bring your own unique gifts and experiences to this sacred quest!
