Christmas Dinner Party with grannies - fundraiser event

45€
A Avó veio trabalhar (Grandma Came To Work) and Alessandra Lauria are organising a fundraising dinner on Tuesday - 17th December 2019.

You will immerse yourself into the world where real xmassy magic happens. We will start our journey with bubbles and an array of nibbles while welcome you into the creative space and little Christmas fair arranged by A Avó Veio Trabalhar. We will then proceed to the winter Italian banquet style with 3-course dinner featuring the creative intergenerational mix of recipes paired with a selection of local wines!

Expect to see the most brilliant grannies in the kitchen collaborating to Alessandra’s menu, helping her to make pasta from scratch, serving you delicious dishes and tops up of delicious wine. It is all you have ever imagined to have as a proper Christmas dinner and a whole lot more!

This event won’t just be a social, cultural and creative space but also intergenerational and an exchange of culinary art as Alessandra will teach them how to make pasta from scratch! How amazing is that?

All the proceeds will go to support the wonderful - “A Avó Veio Trabalhar”

About the project:
“Grandma Came To Work” is a creative hub for people over 60 where they can once again find regular engagement using craft, storytelling and activism, which not only gets them out of the house but also boosts creativity, autonomy, and dexterity. They apply crafts such as sewing, crochet, embroidery or weaving and learn new skills like screen printing and co-design processes. In the end we co-produce handmade collections, workshops of baking, embroidery, sewing or knitting, experiences, campaigns, performances, installations and all kind of creative activities which are trending and sexy, merging past and future, in a joyful way. We reject the stereotype of ageing and for us Old is the new Trend. They are the Future and not the Past. More info at:
