Mais Respeito | Exposição Colectiva

|PT| Dia 6 de Dezembro, a Apaixonarte apresenta a sua primeira exposição colectiva + RESPEITO. Uma mostra com vários artistas, que pretende, em modo de balanço do ano, reflectir sobre o número de vítimas de violência doméstica no nosso país. Apelando a um olhar mais atento, focado nas soluções, para a criação de espaço para + RESPEITO.

Em 2018, foram registadas 28 mortes de mulheres em contexto de violência doméstica. Um número superior a 2017, que contou 20 mortes. Este ano, apesar de ainda não haver números oficiais, há já 29 mortes assinaladas pelos meios de comunicação social. 

O que está por trás destas mortes? 
Sabemos que 85% das vítimas de violência doméstica é do sexo feminino, maioritariamente entre os 36 e os 50 anos, que pertencem a uma família nuclear com filhos e que 80% sofre violência prolongada, em média entre 2 a 6 anos. 
Sabemos que centenas de mulheres e respectivos filhos vivem em casas onde domina o medo, algumas vezes a impotência económica e a indiferença dos vizinhos. 
Sabemos que as crianças que vivem nestes ambientes carregam traumas para o resto da vida, com fortes possibilidades de se tornarem futuros opressores.

A violência doméstica mancha de sangue a sociedade portuguesa e é necessário travar este comportamento geracional e de hábitos culturais enraizados, através da prevenção.

Com a curadoria da Apaixonarte, serão apresentadas 10 obras de artistas nacionais (ADAMASTOR, gonçaloMAR, Jorge Coelho, Margarida Fleming, Pedro Zamith, Ladeira, Rita Ravasco, SAMINA, Tamara Alves Artwork  e uma Joana ), que prontamente se juntaram a esta causa. 
E juntos, vamos reverter 50% das vendas para a Associação UMAR - União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta, que defende a igualdade de género em Portugal, há mais de 30 anos.

A exposição inaugura sexta-feira, dia 6 de Dezembro, às 18h e fica patente até dia 11 de Janeiro.

|EN| Apaixonarte is pleased to present its first collective + RESPEITO. A group exhibition which aims to reflect on the number of victims of domestic violence in our country in a 2019 retrospective view. Calling for a closer and solution-focused look to create space for + (more) RESPECT.

In 2018, 28 female deaths were reported in the context of domestic violence. More than in 2017, which counted 20 deaths. This year, although there are no official numbers yet, there are already 29 deaths reported by the media.

What is behind these deaths?

We know that 85% of victims of domestic violence are female, mostly between 36 and 50 years old, who belong to a nuclear family with children and that 80% suffer prolonged violence, on average between 2 and 6 years.
We know that hundreds of women and their children live in homes where fear, sometimes economic helplessness and indifference of their neighbors.
We know that children living in these environments carry trauma for the rest of their lives, with a strong chance of becoming future oppressors.

Domestic violence bloodstain the Portuguese society and it is necessary to stop this generational behavior and rooted cultural habits, through prevention.

Curated by Apaixonarte, will be presented 10 artworks of national artists who promptly joined this cause (ADAMASTOR, gonçaloMAR , Jorge Coelho, Margarida Fleming, Pedro Zamith, Ladeira , Rita Ravasco, SAMINA , Tamara Alves Artwork e uma Joana) .

Together, we will revert 50% of sales to UMAR - União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta , which has been advocating gender equality in Portugal, for over 30 years.

The opening will be on Friday, December 6, at 6 pm and will run until January 11.
