The negative space in a picture is not only a powerful formal element, but can carry symbolic value as well. We often think of it as background but when we bring our attention to it the whole image can change. Focusing on negative space allows access into a perspective that we are not used to using in our daily lives.
Artist Nina Fraser will show you methods of playing with negative space through collage techniques of addition and subtraction, whilst exploring and developing your own collage style.
This collage workshop is designed for all levels of experience, from the beginner to the collage enthusiast. The workshop is limited to 6 people, and reservations can be made by making payment through the booking link. The workshop is not suited to children under 8 years. For children 8- 14 years please be accompanied by an adult.
