- Wiola Stankiewicz - Art Exhibition -
A serie of paintings that are the result of my research of the form present in the dialogue between painting, music and light.
I believe in the power of the unconscious mind. Our music choices, the lyrics which we decide to hear, the colors that we surround ourselves with are the messages from unconscious mind. It is beautiful how perfectly the puzzles merge together from the supposed random choices we make.
Work presented are frames from video clips of the songs that stayed with me during a very special moment of my life. I let the coincidental choices to lead me to the final form of this exhibition. I was guided by my intuition to chose the materials, colors and the frames used as references.
I would say that it is a documentation of the process of my personal psychological journey. I am also to allow myself to "quote" the brilliant artists whoms songs I "stole".
