Flutuações Virgílio Ferreira Ciclo "A Política das Imagens" com curadoria de João Baeta Em todos os espaços e lugares do universo existe movimento, cruzamento, encontro, fragmentação ou associação. Toda a matéria pode ser entendida sob a ideia de contínua interação e intensa relação. Os seus fenómenos observáveis e inobserváveis, levam-nos a pensar que o lugar da existência humana não se conforma com qualquer posição solipsista ou individualista, convidando a pensar de um modo holista - tudo está em relação. Isto implica inevitavelmente uma reflexão sobre o tipo de conexões e relações que existem entre humanos e não humanos. Assim, este grupo de três imagens denominado “Flutuações” propõe uma visão fotográfica composta por multicamadas, combinando memórias estéticas inconscientes, onde a dinâmica e a diversidade navega entre o micro e o macro, fazendo emergir representações de espaços sociais e naturais. As imagens expostas na Mupi Gallery serão eventualmente uma metáfora duma possível memória eidética de fenómenos de expansão e velocidade do Universo. / Virgílio Ferreira, Porto, 1970 Mestre em Fotografia pela Universidade de Brighton, Reino Unido. All matter can be understood through the idea of continuous and intense interaction. Observable and unobservable phenomena lead us to consider human existence as not conforming to any solipsistic or individualistic position; inviting us to think holistically - everything is in relation to everything else. This inevitably involves reflection on the kind of connections and relationships that exist between humans and non-humans. Fluctuations proposes a multi-layered photographic vision, combining unconscious aesthetic memories, that navigate the micro and macro, and give rise to re-representations of social and natural spaces. The images for the Mupi Gallery are metaphors for a possible eidetic memory of the universe's expanding phenomena and speed. / Virgílio Ferreira, Porto, 1970 Master of Photography from the University of Brighton, UK.
