Em Junho, as FEMME SESSIONS apresentam um programa que nos chega dos Estados Unidos da América através da parceria com o Festival Women’s Voices Now.
Esta é mais uma parceria que estabelecemos com festivais com os quais partilhamos os mesmos objetivos.
O Women's Voices Now é uma organização americana sem fins lucrativos que "usa o filme para impulsionar uma mudança social positiva que avança os direitos das mulheres em todo o mundo”.
“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀” é uma seleção de curtas-metragens da coleção de filmes online do Women's Voices Now: Voices for Change, transporta-nos ao redor do mundo para experimentar o medo e a aversão que ocorrem dentro e fora dos corpos das mulheres - uma experiência compartilhada pelas mulheres, independentemente de onde elas são. No entanto, entre a escuridão e profanação, as mulheres esforçam-se para recuperar a “santidade” dos seus seres - através da raiva, do movimento, da expressão e da conexão. Ao seguirmxs juntxs nesta jornada cinematográfica, vemos a resiliência e a persistência das mulheres, e somos convidadxs a apoiá-las e reverenciá-las, vendo-as através de seus próprios olhos – curadas e inteiras.

EN_Under the heading 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, the Femme Sessions screen, on the last Wednesdays of each month, cinema made by women!
In June, we present a program that comes to us from the United States of America through the partnership with the Women's Voices Now Festival.
This is another partnership that we have established with festivals with which we share the same goals.
Women’s Voices Now uses film to drive positive social change that advances girls’ and women’s rights globally.
“The War and Worship of Women's Bodies” it’s a selection of short films from the Women's Voices Now online film collection: Voices for Change, transports us around the world to experience the fear and loathing occurring within and without women's bodies -- an experience shared by women regardless of where they are from. Yet, in the midst of the darkness and desecration, women strive to reclaim the sanctity of their beings -- through anger, through movement, through expression, and through connection. In going on this cinematic journey together, we see women's resilience and persistence, and we are invited to support and revere them, seeing them through their own eyes -- healed and whole.
