Born in 1976, Évora/ Portugal, David Rosado graduated in Painting & Multimedia at the Fine Arts University of Évora in 2004. David's work has been shown in Europe & USA throughout numerous solo & group exhibitions, as well as being represented in several public and private collections such as the Ariane de Rothschild's collection.
David Rosado presently lives and works in Lisbon.

The Switch is re-opening its doors and launching its 2018 program with "Paradiddles", solo show by David Rosado. Opening Friday 9th of March from 6pm to 10pm, and on view from March 10th to April 1st.
Through his work, David Rosado investigates the norms of identity and culture in our modern society. The Artist struggles with bits & pieces of daily life painting the childhood’s paradox and subliminal environment. The juxtaposition of contents that David Rosado addresses reinforce contemporary issues of social stratification in a thoughtful and imminent way as to guide us towards a remote time where everything seemed simpler.
David Rosado’s site-specific at The Switch, reveals clippings of images that abound in the universe of our growth. The “Big-ly” series presents smiling inflatable animals painted in acrylic gracefully falling on the raw canvases with the emphasis of predominant characters as a transposition of a Paradiddle throughout the pictorial analogy.
