Michele's experiences: Yoga has brought much change into my life and as a result I am passionate about encouraging the students to integrate yoga into their own lives and discover the fruits of the practice through direct knowledge & experience, as I have done. I have been practicing yoga since December 1999 and teaching since April 2005. I teach weekly classes, one to one tuition, regular workshops, weekend retreats since March 2012 & I have taught two yoga holidays in Fuerteventura. I also run a Foundation course in Yoga, the fourth course started in September 2016. My initial training was with the BWY, my teacher Richard Adamo was predominantly influenced by Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga. This gave me a good foundation of alignment, anatomy and physiology within the yoga practice. I met Yoga Elder Sama Fabian in the Autumn of 2014 and knew very quickly from that meeting that my new teacher had appeared. Sama’s wisdom and guidance filled in some missing pieces from my initial training with the BWY, allowing my own practice to deepen and develop in a well-rounded manner. I have completed 3 study circles with Sama, have received weekly teaching from both Sama and her partner Tanya Syed who is my inspiring sound teacher. I also travelled to India to Auroville for a 10 day yoga intensive taught by both Sama & Tanya, 7 hours of yoga each day, was wonderful Since then I have immersed myself in the advaita pointings as I felt a deep resonance with the clarity and directness of the teachings. In 2015 I had the good fortune to enjoy 11 days in silence on retreat with Mooji in Monte Sahaja.
