O projecto Dr. Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band formou-se a partir de uma combinação secreta de blues, jazz e swing.
Este divertido quinteto é formado por Dr Andrew 'blind boy' Butler no banjo, washboard e harmónica; Papa John McKay na viola e voz; Black Jack Barnet no contrabaixo e voz; Aidan Smith no acordeão e Dom Dudill no violino.
