VOLUME, o título da performance, reflete as muitas definições da palavra: um livro, quantidade de espaço que o objeto ocupa, uma medida da intensidade do som. O subtítulo, ANJOS, é uma referência a localização do Roundabout Lx em Lisboa. Até à data, Volume têm sido realizadas em diversos espaços no Reino Unido e EUA trabalhando directamente com o espaço em que a performance é apresentada. Durante o evento, Ron Hutt irá misturar e codificar ao vivo arquivos de som, imagens de vídeo, texto e animação através de projecções. A instalação resultante é um intercâmbio entre o artista, a audiência e o o espaço de exposição resultando numa imprevisível e dinâmica mistura sonora e visual de experiências digitais. Para os membros da audiência, o projeto Volume visa estimular novos conjuntos de associações significativas e inesperadas. Como um artista, terapeuta e educador, Ron Hutt envolve os conceitos de causalidade (passados), sincronicidade (presente), teleologia (futuros) através dos temas triádicos de Folly-Fate-Freedom. Hutt é um artista internacionalmente ativo que produz performances digitais e instalações site-specific inovadoras convergendo os atributos únicos da tecnologia tradicional e emergente. The resulting installation is a compositional and imaginative flow between the artist and the exhibition space resulting in an unpredictable and dynamic mix of sonic and visual sensations.
