(PT) O prémio “Future Memories” é uma ação organizada em parceria pelos Encontros da Imagem e a Scopio Editions, que visa destacar os melhores projetos de Fotografia de autor, sobre as Memórias de Portugal. Ao longo de mais de uma década os Encontros da Imagem tomaram a seu cargo a tarefa de inventariar, através de encomendas fotográficas, o pulsar da cidade de Braga, tendo convidado vários autores a participar no projeto que hoje fazem parte do seu acervo histórico. Na sua 26ª edição o Festival Internacional Encontros da Imagem, pretende dar um novo formato e dimensão ao projeto “Future Memories” ou “Memórias da Cidade”. Desta forma, em parceria com a Scopio Editions, o festival reafirma a vontade de lançar autores nacionais, através de uma chamada pública, gerando assim oportunidades de promoção e publicação para artistas nacionais, e enriquecendo o ecossistema das artes visuais. Com este objetivo, foi lançado o projeto “Future Memories” cuja seleção aqui damos a conhecer, no sentido de reforçar uma promoção de artistas nacionais e de pensar criticamente o lugar da “memória” e do “futuro” na atualidade portuguesa. Com esta seleção revelamos que o país se tem transformado em múltiplas camadas e que os autores aqui eleitos procuram revelar os contrastes e traços que caracterizam Portugal e as histórias por si inventadas. (ENG) Postcards from Portugal - Future Memories The “Future Memories” prize is a joint action between Encontros da Imagem and Scopio Editions, which aims to highlight the best authorial photography projects on the Memories of Portugal. For over a decade the Encontros da Imagem festival took the initiative of registering, through photographic orders, the pulse of the city of Braga by the hand of several invited authors that are now part of its historical collection. In its 26th edition, the International Photography Festival Encontros da Imagem aims to add new shape and dimension to the project “Future Memories” or “Memórias da Cidade”. In this way, along with Scopio editions, the Festival reiterates the will to launch national authors through a public call, which will provide these artists with opportunities for promotion and publishing, and to enrich the ecosystem of Visual Arts.
