Depois do êxito da primeira edição do MIRA Artificial Intelligence, que revelou o enorme interesse e potencial criativo em torno da produção de imagens com recurso à Inteligência Artificial, damos agora continuidade a este percurso com a sua segunda edição.
Ao longo do último ano, aprofundámos esta reflexão através de dois workshops orientados por Mário Pires e da realização de um colóquio dedicado às transformações em curso na criação contemporânea de imagem. Estes momentos permitiram consolidar um espaço de partilha, experimentação e pensamento crítico em torno das novas ferramentas e linguagens emergentes.
Tal como aconteceu com a fotografia mobile, que abriu caminho a novas formas de olhar e produzir imagens, interessa-nos agora explorar esta nova dimensão da criação visual mediada por Inteligência Artificial.
À semelhança do MIRA Mobile Prize, lançamos assim uma open call dedicada a imagens produzidas com IA, culminando numa exposição/projeção que pretende dar visibilidade a esta forma emergente de expressão artística.

REGULAMENTO 
Cada candidato/a pode submeter um total de 3 (três) imagens geradas por Inteligência Artificial (IA). 
1. PRAZO 
A candidatura é gratuita e decorre até 6 de maio de 2026 . 
2. DESTINATÁRIAS/OS 
Podem candidatar-se autoras/es com mais de 15 anos que utilizem imagens geradas por Inteligência Artificial. 
3. CONDIÇÕES DE PARTICIPAÇÃO 
3.1. Cada participante pode submeter até 3 imagens, com tema livre. 
3.2. Cada imagem deve ser acompanhada por: 
•	o texto que a gerou (prompt), de forma clara  
•	o programa utilizado  
Nota: Sem esta informação, a imagem não será considerada. 
3.3. As imagens serão avaliadas com base em: 
•	criatividade narrativa  
•	qualidade e clareza do prompt  
•	qualidade técnica e originalidade  
3.4. Outras condições: 
•	Apenas serão admitidas obras cujos direitos de autor pertençam integralmente à/ao participante.  
•	A participação é gratuita.  
•	As imagens devem ser enviadas até às 23h59 do dia 6 de maio de 2026. 
•	Envio para: mira_ai_prize@miragalerias.net  
Com as imagens selecionadas será organizada uma projeção em grande ecrã nas MIRA Galerias | MIRA FORUM. 
Durante o evento, para além da apresentação das obras selecionadas, serão promovidas conversas, debates e workshops, com o objetivo de ampliar a reflexão e o público em torno desta prática artística.

4. ESPECIFICAÇÕES PARA O ENVIO DAS IMAGENS 
•	Nome do ficheiro: primeiro e último nome + número da imagem 
Exemplo: JoseSilva_01  
•	Utilizar apenas caracteres alfanuméricos (não usar símbolos)  
Requisitos técnicos: 
•	Formato: JPEG  
•	Dimensão mínima: 720 píxeis no lado maior  
•	Tamanho: entre 100 KB e 7 MB  
Não são aceites: 
•	Imagens com assinaturas  
•	Marcas de água  
•	Molduras  
Cada participante receberá um e-mail de confirmação da submissão (processo manual). 
Solicita-se a inclusão, no corpo do e-mail, dos perfis de redes sociais (Facebook e Instagram), exclusivamente para efeitos de divulgação das imagens selecionadas.

5. APRESENTAÇÃO DOS TRABALHOS 
A exposição do MIRA Artificial Intelligence 2026 realizar-se-á nas MIRA Galerias | MIRA FORUM, com inauguração a 13 de junho. 
 
 
MIRA Artificial Intelligence 2026
Following the success of the first edition of MIRA Artificial Intelligence, which revealed the enormous interest and creative potential surrounding image production using Artificial Intelligence, we are now continuing this journey with its second edition. 
Over the past year, we have deepened this reflection through two workshops led by Mário Pires and the organization of a colloquium dedicated to the transformations underway in contemporary image creation. These events allowed us to consolidate a space for sharing, experimentation, and critical thinking around new tools and emerging languages. 
Just as mobile photography paved the way for new ways of seeing and producing images, we are now interested in exploring this new dimension of visual creation mediated by Artificial Intelligence. 
Similar to the MIRA Mobile Prize, we are thus launching an open call dedicated to images produced with AI, culminating in an exhibition/screening that aims to give visibility to this emerging form of artistic expression.

RULES 
Each applicant may submit a total of 3 (three) images generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). 
1. DEADLINE 
Submission is free and open until May 6, 2026. 
2. ELIGIBILITY 
Authors over the age of 15 who use images generated by Artificial Intelligence are eligible to apply. 
3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 
3.1. Each participant may submit up to 3 images on any theme. 
3.2. Each image must be accompanied by: 
• the text that generated it (prompt), clearly stated 
• the program used 
Note: Without this information, the image will not be considered. 
3.3. Images will be evaluated based on: 
• narrative creativity 
• quality and clarity of the prompt 
• technical quality and originality  
3.4. Other conditions: 
• Only works for which the participant holds full copyright will be accepted.  
• Participation is free of charge.  
• Images must be submitted by 11:59 PM on May 6, 2026. 
• Submit to: mira_ai_prize@miragalerias.net  
A large-screen projection of the selected images will be organized at MIRA Galerias | MIRA FORUM. 
During the event, in addition to the presentation of the selected works, there will be talks, debates, and workshops aimed at broadening reflection and the audience around this artistic practice.

• Use only alphanumeric characters (do not use symbols)  
Technical requirements: 
• Format: JPEG  
• Minimum dimension: 720 pixels on the longest side  
• Size: between 100 KB and 7 MB  
The following are not accepted: 
• Images with signatures  
• Watermarks  
• Frames  
Each participant will receive a submission confirmation email (manual process). 
Please include your social media profiles (Facebook and Instagram) in the body of the email, exclusively for the purpose of promoting the selected images.
