SMT3 - A journey to the medieval Porto and the Plague(s), the Jewish and the oldest Caffé in town.
Vitória history is deeply connected with the history of the last jewish ghetto in Porto but that´s “just” an important element among many others that can offer us a very direct look into the reality of Medieval Porto. So it´s essential to travel until the history of the Plagues, them impact, the saints, the traditional crafts and shops, etc.
Find more about:
Where was the last jewish neighbourhood in Porto. The places and last traces of the “Fernandina” wall. A less known but no less important saint called “S.Roque”. What centenary shops you can still find in Vitória, the medieval way to the most important cities on the Coast, among many other relevant aspects of Porto and Portugal history, culture, society and ecology.SMT3 - A journey to the medieval Porto and the Plague(s), the Jewish and the oldest Caffé in town - PICS
