A Associação XX Element Project/Porto Femme e as MIRA Galerias organizam uma exposição de fotografia a partir de uma open call dirigida a artistas que se identifiquem como mulheres e pessoas não-binárias.
O principal objetivo é favorecer a visibilidade das mulheres e pessoas não binárias no mundo da fotografia enquadrando-se no espírito do Porto Femme - Festival Internacional de Cinema que se realiza no Porto, de 20 a 26 de abril de 2026.
A exposição inaugura no dia 18 de abril de 2026, pelas 16:00 no MIRA | artes performativas, rua Padre António Vieira, 68. A exposição estará patente até ao dia 16 de maio.
REGULAMENTO "A MULHER E O TRABALHO"
CONDIÇÕES DE SUBMISSÃO
Serão admitidas até 3 (três) fotografias por pessoa que cumpram os seguintes requisitos: 
1 - As fotografias têm de ser de autoria de artistas que se identifiquem como mulheres e pessoas não binárias, com idade mínima de 16 anos. 
2 - As fotografias têm de abordar o tema “A Mulher e o Trabalho” existindo liberdade no modo como desenvolvem o tema; 
3 – As fotografias podem ser a cores ou a P&B; 
4 - Não serão aceites as imagens que façam parte do corpo do e-mail, que incluam assinaturas, marcas de água ou molduras; 
5 – As obras têm de ser submetidas até o dia 11 de março de 2026;  
6 – A submissão das candidaturas é gratuita; 
ESPECIFICAÇÕES PARA O ENVIO DAS IMAGENS 
1 - As fotografias podem ser captadas por todo o tipo de câmaras: pinhole, analógica, digital, mobile; não são aceites imagens que resultem da aplicação da Inteligência Artificial;
2 - Só são aceites as fotografias enviadas como anexo no email enviado para portofemme.photography@gmail.com e referindo no assunto – Open Call A Mulher e o Trabalho
3 - Só serão avaliadas as imagens com os seguintes requisitos: 
Formato: jpeg; 
Dimensão mínima: 1000 pixéis no lado maior; 
Tamanho do ficheiro: maiores do que 100kb e menores que 7MB; 
5 – Cada ficheiro deve incluir uma legenda com primeiro e último nome separados por um traço, seguido de traço e número da imagem. 
Exemplo: Maria_Silva_01; Maria_Silva _02; Maria_Silva _03 
6 – Usar apenas carateres alfanuméricos (não utilizar: ’”/?}{()[ ]+-=*&^ %$#@!.). 
7 – Após o envio, cada participante irá receber um e-mail de confirmação da sua submissão. Sendo um processo manual, pedimos que aguarde a confirmação.  
8 – As submissões não serão devolvidas. Apenas os trabalhos selecionados serão guardados para propósitos de divulgação. 
9 – A XX Element Project/Porto Femme e as MIRA Galerias não são responsáveis por qualquer falha e/ou perda da candidatura 
10 – A divulgação dos resultados será executada através do e-mail e das redes sociais.
SELEÇÃO E USO DAS IMAGENS 
1 – As fotografias serão selecionadas por um júri interno. Da decisão do júri não haverá apelo.  
2	–  Todos os direitos das imagens pertencem às pessoas participantes. Qualquer imagem utilizada pela organização será identificada com os respetivos créditos autorais. O uso da mesma pode ser incluído em publicações e/ou divulgação do evento, sendo registados os respetivos créditos
EXPOSIÇÃO 
A exposição “A Mulher e o Trabalho” será constituída por fotografias impressas e emolduradas. Se a qualidade das submissões o justificar, está prevista uma projeção com fotografias selecionadas fazendo parte integrante da mostra.

PHOTOGRAPHY Contest “Women and Work”

The XX Element Project/Porto Femme Association and MIRA Galleries are organizing a photography exhibition based on an open call for artists who identify as women and non-binary people.
The main objective is to promote the visibility of women and non-binary people in the world of photography, in line with the spirit of Porto Femme - International Film Festival, which will take place in Porto from April 20 to 26, 2026.
The exhibition opens on April 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at MIRA | performing arts, Rua Padre António Vieira, 68. The exhibition will be open until May 16.
 
REGULATIONS “WOMEN AND WORK”
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Up to three (3) photographs per person will be accepted, provided they meet the following requirements: 
1 - Photographs must be taken by artists who identify as women and non-binary individuals, aged 16 or over. 
2 - Photographs must address the theme “Women and Work,” with freedom in how the theme is developed; 
3 - Photographs may be in color or black and white; 
4 - Images that are part of the body of the email, that include signatures, watermarks, or frames will not be accepted; 
5 - Entries must be submitted by March 11, 2026;  
6 - Submission of entries is free of charge; 
SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUBMITTING IMAGES 
1 - Photographs may be taken with any type of camera: pinhole, analog, digital, mobile; images resulting from the application of Artificial Intelligence will not be accepted; 
2 - Only photographs sent as attachments in an email to portofemme.photography@gmail.com with the subject line “Open Call A Mulher e o Trabalho” will be accepted. 
3 - Only images that meet the following requirements will be evaluated: 
Format: jpeg; 
Minimum size: 1000 pixels on the longest side; 
File size: larger than 100kb and smaller than 7MB; 
5 - Each file must include a caption with the first and last name separated by a dash, followed by a dash and the image number. 
Example: Maria_Silva_01; Maria_Silva_02; Maria_Silva_03 
6 - Use only alphanumeric characters (do not use: '"/?}{()[ ]+-=*&^ %$#@!.). 
7 - After submission, each participant will receive an email confirming their submission. As this is a manual process, please wait for confirmation.  
8 – Submissions will not be returned. Only selected works will be kept for publicity purposes. 
9 – XX Element Project/Porto Femme and MIRA Galerias are not responsible for any failure and/or loss of the application 
10 – The results will be announced via email and social media.
SELECTION AND USE OF IMAGES 
1 – Photographs will be selected by an internal jury. The jury's decision is final.  
2    –  All rights to the images belong to the participants. Any image used by the organization will be identified with the respective copyright credits. The use of the image may be included in publications and/or publicity for the event, with the respective credits being recorded.
EXHIBITION 
The exhibition “Women and Work” will consist of printed and framed photographs. If the quality of the submissions warrants it, a projection of selected photographs will be included as an integral part of the exhibition.  
The exhibition opens on April 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at MIRA | performing arts, Rua Padre António Vieira, 68. The exhibition will be open until May 16.
