Descubra como os unguentários, recipientes para perfumes e óleos medicinais, eram usados na antiguidade para curar doenças, juntamente com uma exposição de instrumentos médicos que revelam a interseção entre fé, cura e vida cotidiana no início do mundo cristão.

Convidamos a participar numa experiência sensorial imersiva, onde poderá experimentar uma variedade de perfumes inspirados em tradições antigas.

Lecture: “Collect Saint Menas Healing Water and Suffering Will Go Way”Join us in celebrating the Annual Day of Saint Menas with a lecture exploring the Saint Menas Ampullae from the Bühler-Brockhaus collection. Discover how unguentarium, vessels for perfumes and healing oils, were used in ancient times to cure ailments, alongside a display of medical instruments that reveal the intersection of faith, healing, and daily life in the early Christian world.
Workshop: “Per Fumum”: Aromatic Testing
We invite you to take part in an immersive sensory experience where you will be able to test a variety of perfumes inspired by ancient traditions.Limited to 20-25 places.
