In the exhibition The light of my place, photographer and veterinarian Jorge Bacelar presents images that transcend documentary recording and touch on the realm of emotion. With an attentive and intimate gaze, Bacelar reveals the time and silence of rural life, where men, women, and animals share space in profound harmony.

His photographs, full of interplays of light and shadow, show faces that tell stories, gestures that reveal affection, and glances that speak of complicity and respect. In this exhibition, each portrait is more than an image: it´s a window into the photographer's inner world, where tenderness, dignity and rurality intertwine in a unique visual language. The light of my place is an invitation to see with the heart and recognise the beauty of the indescribable that inhabits life.

This exhibition is the result of a colletive curatorial work by the m|i|mo team.
