Nkama | Estreia Nacional

NKAMA é um solo que combina malabarismo, ritmos e dança, onde Dimas questiona o tempo, as diferentes formas de o perceber e a maneira como o vislumbramos. Utiliza o malabarismo como ritmo e a voz para improvisar a partir das diferentes trajetórias dos objetos e dos sons que produzem. A natureza sonora de cada objeto conduz-o na criação de música ao vivo. Nkama significa "tempo" em changana, a língua tradicional falada no sul de Moçambique, de onde Dimas é originário. A música e a dança ocupam um lugar importante no quotidiano da cultura moçambicana..

 NKAMA is a solo combining juggling, rythms and dance, where Dimas questions the time, the differents ways of perceiving it and how we caught sight of it. He uses juggling as a rythm and his voice to improvise from the different trajectories of the objects and the sound they make. The nature of the sound of each object leads him to create some live music. Nkama means "Time" in Changana, the traditionnal language spoken in southner Mozambique, where Dimas comes from. Music and dance have an important place in everyday life in the mozambican culture.
