SYNOPSIS

Picture the perfect British family holiday – a sun-soaked cruise, and the chance to meet new people. That’s exactly what Peter and Debbie thought they were signing up for. But when they befriend the seemingly sweet and eccentric Elsa, their lives take an unexpected turn. 
Returning home, Peter and Debbie’s lives quickly become a whirlwind of awkward politeness and social obligation. Elsa, who has decided to pay them an unexpected visit, soon reveals a disconcerting past – and it’s not long before the lines between British politeness and sheer panic blur into deliciously dark comedy. 
The Unfriend is a razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud play by Doctor Who and Sherlock writer Steven Moffat.  It’s a gleeful skewering of British civility – how far would you go to avoid causing a scene, even if it means inviting potential danger into your own home?

Imagine as férias de família britânicas perfeitas – um cruzeiro ao sol, e a oportunidade de conhecer novas pessoas. Era isso que Peter e Debbie pensavam ter reservado. Mas, ao fazerem amizade com a simpática e excêntrica Elsa, a sua vida dá uma reviravolta inesperada. 
De regresso a casa, a vida de Peter e Debbie transforma-se rapidamente numa espiral de educação forçada e obrigações sociais. Elsa, que decide fazer-lhes uma visita inesperada, acaba por revelar um passado inquietante – e não demora muito até que a linha entre a civilidade britânica e o pânico absoluto se desfaça numa deliciosa comédia negra.
