We're excited to host a very special show next Thursday the 30th January, featuring a live collab between Copper Sounds (UK) and Sonoscopia (PT). Doors open at 9:30PM and the contribution for artists is 6€.
// COPPER SOUNDS use traditional and contemporary processes to explore the physical and visual nature of sound. They perceive sound as a malleable material and have a unique way of working with and manipulating sound, through designing and making sonic objects which they play live.
Having started out as an experimental record manufacturer (making records out of materials such as copper, volcanic rock, chalk and ceramic), the duo embraces experimentation and the unknown, always thinking directly about how the object and the sound affect one another. The objects they make tell the story of their process and act as markers of their journey of transforming raw material into sound.// SONOSCOPIA is a cultural association based in Porto and mainly devoted to the practice, creation and promotion of
experimental music and sound art.
Strongly tied to a DIY ethics, Sonoscopia´s members share and exchange their highly diverse musical and academic backgrounds, in a joint effort to accomplish new ways of living and thinking Porto’s underground musical scene.
