Meaningful Conversation is an Intellectual Club that involves curious and open-minded discussion about a proposed theme, and encourages participants to share their diverse perspectives.
By creating a safe and respectful environment where everyone's opinion is valued. These conversations can lead to deeper understanding and connections between people.
They also encourage authenticity, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving by challenging participants to consider different points of view, approaches and to build on each other's ideas.
Ultimately, Meaningful Conversation sessions mean to inspire personal growth and positive change.

🍌 Location: Selina's Secret Garden - Experience Room
🍌 Hard start at 20h, please be on time, so we don't have to explain the rules every time someone new joins
🍌 NO ENTRY ALLOWED AFTER THE DISCUSSION HAS STARTED ~20h40
🍌 Sliding Scale Conscious Contribution: please choose an option that fits you and allows us to continue to do this:
5 euros - covering costs, “I would love to attend, but I am struggling a little bit financially”
10 euros - fair value, “I really appreciate your work”
15+ euros - generous value “You guys are great, and I want to encourage the work you bring to the world”

Structure of the event:
- Starting from 19h30 we meet at the Selina's restaurant to mingle and chat (look for a bald guy with a HUGE smile)
- At 20h we move to Selina's Experience Room, people can take along their drinks, snacks and food from the restaurant
- Each person will propose and present 1-2 topics of discussion within the main theme - SELF-SABOTAGE
- We will vote and start the discussions from most voted to least voted. We'll try to get as many proposed topics as possible
- Hard finish at 22h15
- As a tradition after every session, we go out for some pizza 🍕

She's Australia’s Young Engineer of the Year 2023, and she tells me that using examples is essential to her role in explaining “what engineers do” to school children (and to adults!). Deanna’s just recently moved to Lisbon from Sydney, Australia, where the robots she designed will allow burns surgeons to reduce the lifelong impact that scarring has on bushfire, bombings, and other widespread-burns survivors.
Deanna’s driven to help society see the altruistic applications of engineering, and in 2022 alone she spoke to more than 1,000 school girls about the possibilities, doing it as a side hustle alongside her robotics career! She uses concrete examples of her work, that in addition to the “skin-printing robot” include educational robots for special needs students, 3D bioprinters for cancer researchers, and a low-cost stethoscope for diagnosing pneumonia in developing countries (for which she was a finalist for TED2013).

He started as a Toastmaster, then participated in open-mic’s where he declared poetry, did storytelling, stand-up comedy, rapped, sang and danced. He attended the renowned Evoé - acting school and later fell in love with improv theater.
Today he is a Personal Development and Communication coach, master of ceremonies, improv theater facilitator and open-mic host. He is a social innovator with a goal to improve human education. It drives him to create safe spaces where people can nourish their Authenticity, Critical Thinking and Creativity.
He is known for his enormous positivity, enthusiasm and passion for impact.
