Make Your Rustic Vase

Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn to make your own rustic vase out of black clay! It will take place on Saturday, April the 8th  from 13:00 to 15:00 at our beautiful Clay Mood studio, located in the heart of Gaia. Our studio is a hidden gem, tucked away inside a 100-year-old Portuguese gym for traditional games that has been transformed into a cultural association. During the workshop, you'll get to work with rustic black clay (which looks red before firing!) and learn different techniques to create your own unique vase. It's a beginner-friendly workshop, so no prior experience is necessary. The event is led by Portuguese and Lithuanian artists Anabela Aliste and Celia Lostrego, and we speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, as well as some other less common languages if needed.
This is also a great opportunity to make new friends and get inspired doing something new with your hands! You'll be able to connect with other creative souls in a relaxed and cozy environment.
In addition to the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to explore our beautiful garden, which is home to a variety of plants and flowers, including a stunning avocado tree. We invite you to pick some leaves or plants from our garden and stamp them into your vase to make it even more personal.
Please note that the pieces you create during the workshop will need to dry for a few days before they can be fired in the kiln. We'll take care of the firing process for you and your finished piece will be ready for pick-up within approximately 10 days.
We'll provide some delicious snacks and cake, as well as tea or coffee to keep you fueled throughout the workshop. And when your piece is ready, we'll notify you and arrange for pick-up at our studio.
