PT_ O Porto Femme Festival promove, nos meses de maio e junho, sessões de cinema nas Universidades, juntamente com projetos de mentoria e momentos de conversa e discussão sobre as temáticas apresentadas. A programação foi pensada de forma a criar espaço para o entendimento das várias questões e lutas que envolvem as mulheres e das pessoas que se identificam como mulheres, reservando sempre o papel principal à mulher-cineasta.
O projeto visa criar uma ponte de contacto e de proximidade com as universidades, encorajando o interesse dxs alunxs em cinema e promovendo o trabalho dxs estudantes que já se encontram na área. Procura-se, desta forma, estabelecer ligações entre o mundo académico e o festival, que decorrerá de 12 a 17 de setembro.
O presente programa da sessão inclui uma mostra de alguns dos filmes da edição de 2021 que fizeram parte da Competição Estudante, e que foram, na sua maioria, premiados.

Sinopse: "Sempre precisei de ficção para dar sentido à realidade". Uma figura cinemática preenche o vazio deixado pela morte de alguém querido. Este é um filme sobre perda, solidão e o amor pelo cinema.

Sinopse: Num espírito de sororidade e solidariedade, as integrantes do grupo feminista interseccional Femplak_Wien reúnem-se para colocar em palavras a violência sexualizada que sofreram. Este filme acompanha a coragem desse grupo que, por meio de uma das suas ações, transforma as suas histórias individuais numa força coletiva.

Sinopse: O cortejar dos homens prova a sua atratividade e dá-lhe confiança? Nesta busca por aprovação, será que não mudamos muito quem somos? Chocolate examina a psicologia subtil da relação sexual entre homens e mulheres. Esta animação é desenhada à mão com giz, com diferentes tons de castanho de forma a representar as emoções da personagem principal.

Sinopse: No final do verão, numa casa isolada no lago, Misia, de sete anos, luta para salvar a sua mãe e a si mesma do pai abusivo. O realismo mistura-se com o mundo colorido e melífluo da fantasia enquanto o equilíbrio entre eles muda perigosamente, e Misia começa a perder senso de segurança e fé nos adultos.

Sinopse: Alicia (39) é costureira. Trabalha desenhando e confeccionando roupas femininas, mas por trás dos tecidos esconde o segredo do próprio corpo; o incômodo e desconformidade que ela sente com ele após ter sido mastectomizada em decorrência de cancro da mama. Após a inundação acidental de seu apartamento, ela conhece Lúcia (41), uma mulher transexual que é sua nova vizinha. Apesar do primeiro encontro tenso que elas têm, essas mulheres encontram-se novamente e começam a passar mais tempo juntas. Conforme o dia e a noite passam, elas começam a reconhecer-se, ajudando-se uma à outra. Com o amanhecer, as duas mulheres encontrarão cura e liberdade no meio do mar.

EN_Porto Femme Festival promotes, in May and June, film sessions at Universities, along with mentoring projects and moments of conversation and discussion on the themes presented. The program was designed to create space for understanding the various issues and struggles that involve women and people who identify as women, always reserving the main role for the woman-filmmaker.
The project aims to create a bridge of contact and proximity with universities, encouraging the interest of students in cinema and promoting the work of students who are already in the area. In this way, we seek to establish links between the academic world and the festival, which will take place from the 12th to the 17th of September.
The present program of the session includes an exhibition of some of the films from the 2021 edition that were part of the Student Competition, and which were, for the most part, awarded.

Chocolate examines the subtle psychology of sexual intercourse between men and women. Synopsis: Alicia (39) is a seamstress.
