Workshop: How to ferment every single vegetable

Do you enjoy sauerkraut and wonder if you could make it at home? Are you bored with sauerkraut and want to go wild but don´t know how? Or maybe you haven´t tasted fermented vegetables, but are curious and would like to improve your well-being?
Fermented vegetables have complex (and tasty!) flavours, and they can also boost your digestion and health.
Master fermentation with us: learn how to ferment any vegetable into tasty and healthy goodness!
In this workshop you will:
• taste different fermented veggies
• learn two different techniques to ferment almost any vegetable
• learn tips and tricks for safe and easy fermentation at home
• watch, hear and smell the demonstration of making sauerkraut
• make your own brined fermented veggies and take the jar home
• lose your fear and gain confidence to ferment at home

I grew up in Latvia, but for the past 10 years I have been living in Porto. I have a passion for fermenting anything and foraging wild plants; I believe that good quality food can make a difference to your health. I have enjoyed different types of fermented veggies since childhood, because it was a family tradition. After completing Culinary Arts course in Porto, I have worked in several restaurants making sourdough bread, fermented vegetables and beverages. I have also completed the Food Fermentation edX course from Harvard University. Now I will be happy to share my findings, wins and losses and help you become confident to make your own healthy fermented veggies.
