"Works for Multiple Spaces - Compositional Implications"
Valerio Sannicandro was born in Italy. He studied composition with York Höller, Hans Zender and conducting with Peter Eötvös. Has a Ph.D. in Musicology at TU-Berlin. Winner of several composition competitions in Germany and Italy. He has worked with institutions/ensembles such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Repertorio Zero, Kroumata, AlterEgo, Musikfabrik NRW, Divertimento Ensemble, IRCAM, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Staatstheater Cottbus, ZKM Karlsruhe and Philharmonisches Orchester Cottbus. His works are published by Edizioni Suvini-Zerboni (Milan).
About the International Summer School for Composers 2021:
The educational and concert platform for new music DME — Dias de Música Electroacústica is announcing the International Summer School for composers in collaboration with the Strasbourg-based new music collective, lovemusic. It will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 5-10, 2021.
Simultaneously with the International Summer School for Composers, there will be a festival with activities open to the public, including concerts and conferences with the guest tutors and Ensemble DME musicians. With the support of Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Lisbona.
