RUINAS COLLECTIVE https://ruinaslisboa.bandcamp.com/ Ruínas is a Lisbon-based collective focused on creating social impact through electronic music and positive vibes. Active since 2018, they started by organizing events in unconventional locations and using the proceeds to support local associations. During 2020 their activities were halted by the pandemic so the collective expanded to include also a record label section, aimed at raising funds by joining artists sensitive to particular social issues. Their first release is "Reconstruir das Ruínas", a compilation featuring music by 25 Lisbon-based artists, including Xinobi, Dan Ghenacia, Vil, and Kaspar, to name a few. The release has already received the support of personalities such as Rui Vargas and Tiago Santos from Rádio Oxigénio, and magazines like Ransom Note, A Cabine, and Soundwall. All proceeds will be donated to União Audiovisual, an association supporting musicians and art professionals struggling during the pandemic. DUPPLO http://www.soundcloud.com/dupplomusic BLACK POMADE @black.pomade Lisbon circuit regular Black Pomade is a DJ and producer originally from Milan (Italy) active since 2007. Heavily influenced by the NY Disco scene and the Chicago originators, he's known for his melting-pot of analog synths, groovy basslines, soulful lyrics, and syncopated beats. When he's behind the decks, expect lots of House, Disco, Italo, and Funky records filling the dance floor with high energy and big smiles. Throughout the years he had the chance to bring his music in various places outside the Portuguese borders, including radio shows in Ibiza and Melbourne, and gigs in Vienna, Sofia, and his hometown Milan. In April 2020 Black Pomade released his first single "Marine", an Acid Italo Disco track in collaboration with the photographer Eric Bouvet and the art gallery MONO. In May he also remixed the track "Cages" from the Brooklyn-based band Sontag Shogun, and "Cash Back", a classic house banger edit on Modmotif. Finally, in October, he released his first physical record, a white-labeled 7" containing two dutch-sang electropop tracks, revisited for a modern twist.
