Audition Notice - Pantomime!

AUDITION NOTICE – JACK AND THE BEANSTALK 
 
We are delighted to announce auditions for this year’s festive pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk”!
 Audition Dates:
Saturday 18th October, 11am – 2pm (Principal characters)
Sunday 19th October, 11am – 2pm (Dancers & Panto Babes)
Performance Dates:
19th – 23rd December 2025
2nd – 5th January 2026
We are seeking enthusiastic performers of all ages for principal roles, ensemble, and dancers.
Principal Characters:
Jack – The epitome of a “nice” lad, modern but not very worldly-wise. (SINGING ROLE)
Jill – The Squire’s daughter, confident, and sure of herself. (SINGING ROLE)
Dame Trott – Jack’s mother. The classic Dame – big, bold, and outrageously over-the-top. (SINGING ROLE)
Daisy the Cow – A two-legged, upright, speaking cow. Fun and full of personality (not a traditional two-person cow!).(SINGING ROLE)
Vandertop – Excitable farm worker, part of a comedy duo.
Waterbottom – Slow, grumpy farm worker, the other half of the comedy duo.
Fleshcreep – Dark, nasty, and creepy. The villain who serves the Giant.
Fairy Lady – Energetic, magical, and always on the move. (SINGING ROLE)
Fielding – A cheeky, bright field mouse. (SINGING ROLE)
The Squire – Jill’s bumbling, posh father.
The Giant (Blunderbore) – A tall male actor with presence!
🎶 Please come prepared with a short song to perform if auditioning for a Singing Role.🎶
Ensemble & Dancers:
Male & female dancers (teenagers upwards).
Panto Babes: Boys and girls aged 8+ with strong dance and singing ability.
💃 Dancers: Please attend the Sunday audition.
